Step Parents (Royal
Blue) vs. Isotopes (Maroon):
Welcome back to Wednesday regular kickball and what a fun night it was and to start us off we had two very close teams in our first matchup of the night. The Parents started us off in the top of the first with 3 quick runs to get on the board which was very impressive against a team that had their first loss of the season last week. Isotopes returned the favor in the bottom of the inning with a 2 run homer to tie the game. The Parents didn’t like that and in the top of the second they had their biggest inning of the game by bringing 8 runs across the plate and 3 of them were from a 3 run homer from Jeremy Wagner. The Isotopes were only able to answer back with 2 in the bottom of the 2nd and then Team Captain Shane Adam came in to pitch and try and slow down the scoring run for the Parents. He did just so and for the next 4 innings the Parents didn’t put anything on the board. Unfortunately the only other run scored in the game for the Isotopes came in the bottom of the 3rd making it 11-6 and the Parents finally added to their lead in the top of the 7th with another 3 runs coming in. Step Parents Win 14-6.

Put it in the Bunt (Neon Yellow) vs. No Rubber Lovers (Tropical Blue):
For our second game of the night we had a real fun game and Bunt started us out in the top of the inning but the Lovers shut them down and held them scoreless to show they were here to play. In the bottom of the inning the Lovers put the first points on the board and the first one came from Tyler Williams who perfectly placed a kick for an RBI. Jocelyn Zorn followed up with a 2 RBI single to extend the lead for the Lovers. In the top of the second the Lovers once again shut down the Bunt and extended their lead in the bottom of the inning with a RBI from Keith Vales and another RBI that came from an overthrow on Bunt’s part. The Bunt started putting up points in the top of the third with a 3 RBI homer and a RBI SAC fly from Larissa Lindberg. The Lovers were still on top going into the bottom of the 3rd but didn’t score due to some great defense from the Bunt. The Bunt finally tied it up in the top of the 4th 7-7 but couldn’t hold the Lovers in the bottom and the Lovers took back the lead with a RBI double from Mike. The 5th inning is when it all started changing and the Bunt turned on the after burners. In the top of the inning David Bayouth slammed the first homer of the game to tie it back up. Then Team Captain Josh Greenway came up and had himself a nice RBI single to take back the lead and Mike Koenck followed suit with a RBI single of his own to extend the lead. Tyler Williams came back up for the Lovers in the bottom of the inning and had a RBI double to try to keep it close but that was all she wrote for the scoring in this inning for the Lovers. In the top of the 6th Bunt extended their lead again with the help of Travis DeWeese who had a RBI single and Adam Bacon who had a RBI double. Bunt shut down the Lovers in the bottom of the 6th and got shut down themselves in the top of the 7th to keep the score14-9 coming into the bottom of the 7th. The Lovers needed 5 runs to tie the game and 6 runs to win but unfortunately they only scored 1 and it was Tyler Williams again who had a RBI double but it wasn’t enough. Put It In The Bunt Wins 14-10.

Punani Patrol (Neon
Pink) vs. Kickin Uglies (Sapphire Blue):
For our final game of the night we had a real explosive game and it was a lot of fun to watch. The Patrol started off the scoring in the top of the first with 6 runs. Blaire Jennings started off the run for the patrol with a RBI single to left field. Then Russ Thesing had a 3 run homer to right field and Andrew Rohr went to center field for a RBI. In the bottom of the inning Kickin answered back when Lanny (can’t find your last name on the roster) hit a 2 run homer to left field and then Kevin (can’t find you last name on the roster) hit a solo homer to the same spot. In the top of the 2nd Kickin shut down the Patrol and held them scoreless but when they came up to bat there were more fireworks in the form of a SAC fly RBI to center from Will Pfanmiller. In the top of the 3rd the Patrol started their own fireworks show and it was quite impressive with 7 more runs coming across the plate and Team Captain Jeff Cornetet started it off with a home run to right field and had an amazing jump to avoid the tag out. Russ Thesing was back at it again in the 3rd with another homer to deep left field and Dag Larson added to their runs with a 2 run homer. Tony also joined the show with a 2 run RBI double to center to extend their lead even more. In the bottom of the 3rd the Patrol returned the favor and held Kickin scoreless and came back up in the top of the 4th and put on the grand finally with another 4 RBI’s coming from Sara Ledwidge, Russ Thesing, Brady (can’t find your last name on the roster), and Dag Larson. After that both teams turned up the “D” and went scoreless for a couple inning until Kickin made their final run in the bottom of the 5th and brought another 2 home but it wasn’t enough. Punani Patrol Wins 17-7.
