KickBoxing KickBallers vs CareCore: CareCore
wasn't able to field a team this week. KickBoxing
Kickballers wins 3-0.
Lights Out vs Hangin with Patch Adams:
Lights Out and Hangin with Patch Adams entered week 4 looking to bolster their
post season positioning. LO put a 3 spot up on HPA in the top of the 1st. HPA
went up to the plate with smiles but were set down 1-2-3 in the 1st AND the
2nd. Top 3, still a 3-0 LO lead, and John Arroyo sends the ball to deep
centerfield, and thanks to his speed, beats the throw home for a 3 run home
run. LO belted home 2 more in the inning to go up 8-0. Wes Wilhelm and company
kept the defense rolling and had a no hitter through 3 innings. HPA was able to
keep LO off the board in the 4th, however, their primary focus was to get on
base. LO was still in a no hit bid, until a dribbler down the 3rd base line and
a photo close play at first broke the shut out! HPA pulled off a sensational
diving catch in centerfield to keep LO from a scoring streak in the 5th. HPA was
able to convert on an overthrow at 1st to get a run in the bottom of the 5th,
but LO would get the final say in this game, as a single run in the 6th spelled
victory. Lights Out wins, 10-1.
Saved By The Ball vs SchoolYard AllStars:
Both teams came into the week refreshed and ready to bash some red ball!!! SYAS
scored a quick 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st. The 2nd inning was quiet for
both teams, but the 3rd had fireworks. SYAS wanted to solidify a win early, and
appeared to do so by scoring an enormous 8 runs in the inning to go up by 10.
SBTB searched for answers and were able to respond with a run of their own in
the 4th to at least get on the board. The game went quiet on offense until the
6th inning. SYAS put the exclamation point on the game as they scored 2 more in
the 6th. But SBTB is not one to just lay down, as they were able to scratch 3 more
runs at the end. SchoolYard AllStars wins,
12-4.
Super Eagles vs Chocolate Sensation: Both
teams were coming off wins last week and wanted to build a streak. The Eagles
struck 1st with a run in the 1st. Chocolate Sensation answered back with 3 in
the bottom of the 1st. The Eagles kept their composure and scored another in
the 2nd to close the gap to 1. CS wanted to break away, and were able to get 2
runs across. The Eagles were silenced in the 3rd, but weren't able to stop CS
from scoring 3 more to go up 8-2. CS went soaring high in the bottom of the 4th
as they sent a 7 run flurry down upon the Eagles to go up 15-2. The Eagles weren’t
about to go down without a fight as they mustered another run in the 6th. CS
put the finishing touches on the game with 5 more runs in the 6th. Chocolate Sensation wins, 20-4.
Pitches Be Crazy vs Bazinga: Bazinga experienced
their first loss in 2 seasons last week, so with that as momentum, they showed
up to the field with a vengeance. Bazinga quickly put the loss behind them, with
3 runs scored in the 1st. They struck again in the 2nd, but PBC
wasn't going to give up the game that easily, and they were able to get a 2 run
boot to put the game at 4-2. Bazinga went back on offense, or thought they
were, but a Brianne Fatavella’s impressive line drive catch stopped them in their
tracks. PBC scored 3 critical runs and went up by 1. Bazinga used an array of
hits, belted 3 more runs in to reestablish the lead 7-5. Keith Hausam’s Grand
Slam capped off a 5 run 6th, and solidified the win for Bazinga. Bazinga wins, 12-5.
