New Kicks on the Block (Texas Orange) vs. Kick Pitches
Get Money (Sapphire Blue):
New Kicks
from the Block jumped out early scoring six runs in the first inning behind a
hammered homerun. It was all New Kicks from there. Even the tireless legendary
announcer Dickie V ran out of ways to commend the New Kicks on their scoring
ways!!! However, Karen Rossmassier of Kick Pitches Get Money found a way to put
the scoring to a stop by making a fantastic sliding catch in the outfield to
end the inning. New Kicks on the Block
win 34-1.

Madwire (Tennessee Orange) vs. Kicks From
the Bong (Forest Green):
This matchup
was filled with enthusiasm from the very beginning with both sides electrified
with excitement. Madwire led off the first inning with a homerun blasted to
right field by Aubrey Darnell! Then Kicks from the Bong responded in a huge way
by taking the lead after scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd!
After that it was all defense from both teams the rest of the way though....
Aubrey Darnell spoiled a promising 4th inning when he conjured up a
double play to end a bases loaded inning and then Matt Risley responded in the
top of the 5th by making a catch in foul territory that made us all
think Willie Mays was out there playing himself. (See
Clip). Finally, Abe Rodarmel sealed
the deal in the top of the 6th when he made all three outs for Kicks
from the Bong. Kicks From the Bong wins
7-5.

Multiple Scoregasms (Royal Blue) vs. High
Socks High Motivation (Gold):
This
game was one for the ages folks! Multiple Scoregasms jumped on the scoreboard
early racking up two first inning runs. But oh man was it a pitcher’s duel
after that… When High Socks High Motivation was threatening, the Multiple
Scoregasms found a way to put a cap on it by Adam Johnson and Paul Burns
turning a crucial double play… But Austin Perret showed his high motivation by
driving in two crucial runs in the bottom of the 7th to tie the
game!!! An additional two extra innings were played but neither team could find
a run. Austin Perret was granted the game’s MVP for his game tying RBIs in a
last chance opportunity for High Socks High Motivation. Multiple Scoregasms tie High Socks High Motivation 2-2.

Florida Mike and the Freeballers (Neon
Orange) vs. Girls Love Big Kicks (Cardinal Red):
Girls Love Big Kicks relied on great pitching and
defense along with a massive 2nd inning to give them an edge in this
game. Following the big inning, Eric “King of Corn” Brown made a spectacular
diving catch in center field to to end the inning and give Florida Mike and the
Free Ballers another at bat!!! Spectator LeBron James said he was “impressed to
see Girls Love Big Kicks get a big inning and hold on to protect their lead.” Girls Love Big Kicks win 10-0.

Lewis for Mayor (Dark Heather) vs.
Lunchbox Violators (Carolina Blue):
The
pitchers of these two teams, Eli Roth (Lunchbox Violators) and Dylan Armstrong
(Lewis for Mayor), had themselves quite the battle in this intriguing matchup.
The Lunchbox Violators were led by the power hitting captain and game MVP Corey
Barnhardt who slammed the 2nd homerun for the Violators!!!
Barnhardt, the captain said after the game, “Sometimes, the pitch is just right
and you have to swing your leg as hard as Brandon McManus kicking a 55 yard
field goal.” Lunchbox Violators win
15-1.

Ballz N Dollz (Tropical Blue) vs. The
Edukators (Neon Pink):
Captain Jeremy
Glanzer had his Ballz N Dollz poised for victory in this matchup. Ballz N Dollz
had their kicking shoes on early in this game when they scored a whopping four
runs in the first inning alone and added another three runs in the bottom of
the 4th!!! Nathaniel “The Wall” Welberer helped give The Edukators
the spark they needed on defense when he made back to back spectacular catches
in in the bottom of the 6th! This energy was converted to offensive
spirit when The Edukators made a late push scoring runs in the 5th,
6th, and 7th, but Ballz N Dollz were able to hold on for
the victory! Ballz N Dollz win 8-4

Save By The Balls (Purple) vs. high
rollers (White):
Sometimes the scoreboard doesn’t reflect how
hotly contested the game was played. In this case, Saved by the Balls played
really well as a team overall. Meanwhile, the veteran high rollers squad truly
displayed some top-shelf defense! The high rollers jumped out to an early lead
of 3-0 after two innings, but then Saved by the Balls quickly made it a game
after the top of the 4th inning with the score now 2-3. Captain of
the high rollers, Michael Hallczuk said after the game, “In the off-season we
really worked on our defensive tactics. We all committed to 100 catches and
throws each day, and it’s really starting to show on the playing field.” High
rollers win 6-2.

(6:50pm)
Ace Strong (Indigo Blue) vs. Team
America (Navy):
Team America in their
prideful red, white, and blue were back at it again after a big win last week!
Cody Wells, who belted two grand slams last week, came up big on the defensive
side when he charged a 2nd inning ground ball down the third base
line, fielded it with one hand, and ripped it sidearmed to first base to get
the out and earn a SportCenter Top Ten Play nominee. Captain Allen Stefanik
followed suit with athletic plays when he dodged a peg on the base path to
extend an inning where Team America would go on to score eight runs!!! Ace
Strong made their highlights on the defensive end though. In the bottom of the
5th, with the bases loaded Joe Hanly made a great play on a hard hit
ball to third when he fielded the grounder, tagged third and then pegged the
runner who was trying to score from third, thereby preventing Team America from
scoring any additional runs. Team
America wins 19-2.

Just Kickin It (Sport Grey) vs. Oilers SLTI (Red):
The
Oilers SLTI came on strong again, scoring in four of the sixth innings that
they batted! Adam “The Iron Horse” Morse led the charge with several base hits
including a triple in the first inning. Meanwhile, Just Kickin It never gave
up—Laci Dreiling even took it to the extreme by running all the way into right
field to avoid a ball being thrown at her. Kickball analyst Jay Bilas commented
afterwards, “The Oilers SLTI already have their sights on the championship
trophy. After losing in the final game the last two seasons, they are looking
to reclaim the title… I wouldn’t want to play them in the playoffs.” Oilers
SLTI win 7-0.

Fortlandia Fartknockers (Heliconia) vs.
Balls Deep (Irish Green):
What a
game!!! Balls Deep took the lead early and carried it into the fourth inning as
Ryan “Ridiculously Awesome” Smith made a diving throw for the third out,
thereby keeping his team in the lead at 3-0. The Fortlandia Farknockers didn’t
go quietly though as “Devastatingly Awesome” Dave clinched the final out of the
5th inning by hitting the other team’s player in the foot. Dave’s
stellar defense seemingly inspired his team, as the Fortlandia Fartknockers
would go on to tie up the game in the bottom of the 6th and then win
on a game-ending walkoff in the bottom of the 7th! Like I
said—crazy!!! Fortlandia Farknockers win
4-3.
City Park Field 5
(6:50pm)
Lewis for Mayor (Dark Heather) vs.
Kicktease (Charcoal):
Lewis for Mayor
put their best foot forward to start off things by scoring two runs during the
first two innings to take an early lead. Then with one double play by Kicktease
in the top of the 3rd inning, the tide seemed to turn against Lewis
for Mayor. It was like Kicktease had transformed into a completely different
team! (See their transformation here.) Kicktease would proceed to score two runs in the
bottom of 3rd and three more in the bottom of the 4th to
clinch the win. Kicktease wins 7-3.

Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (Neon
Yellow) vs. Where My Pitches At (Lime):
With
a matchup of veteran teams like this one, you just knew that it would come down
to the last inning… And the sellout crowd in attendance definitely wasn’t
disappointed! The Little Lebowski Urban Achievers drew first blood and held
onto their lead up until the bottom of the 4th inning when Where My
Pitches At finally found their pitches at and tied up the game 3-3 before
taking a one run lead after 5th inning ended. But by the 6th
inning it was tied up again, 6-6!!! Finally, it came down to the bottom of the
7th, with Where My Pitches At MVP Aria Khosravi at the plate… She
came through with a walk-off single to beat the defending champs! Where My Pitches At wins 7-6.
