Wednesday - Cuernavaca Park - Week 1 Highlights

Punani Patrol vs. Pitches Be Crazy:

PP in pink came out "acting" like they knew what they were doing in this one!!  Ok, ok, we're sure they've done this before!!  Toe-Nee Lusk came up to kick in the top of the 1st inning with 2 on and showed us why it might be necessary to cover right field...as he smacked a liner that ended up scoring everyone including him - is that a home run??  We'll let Tony decide that one!  Cornetet "don't forget" was also strong in this game with PP in pink by placing a perfect ball for an RBI single (man, that's a lot of P), then followed that later with a 2-run shot in the 6th...we're excited to have Jeff on this team!  PBC's Casey Rebert got tired of the pink PP's and placed a nice ball in the gap for an RBI single, then later scoring to put 2 on the board!!!  Chris Lathinghouse responded and put this one away with a 3-run shot for Punani...the lady started singing!!  Punani Patrol wins 16-2.

Step Parents vs. Put It In The Bunt:

Step Parents got on board 1st in this one with fancy footwork and strategic base running in the top of the 3rd inning...SP, lookin' strong day 1!!  PIITB answered right back with 3-runs of their own - kicked off by a David Bayouth RBI single.  Bayouth followed up the next inning pitching and made all 3 outs - we all know that's near to impossible to do...lot's of street cred on that David, great pitching!!  Put It may have had more scoring power but Step Parents' Miranda Burke made an unbelievable double play that we'd also give major street cred on...nice job Miranda!  Step Parents added 1 more run in the top of the 6th inning to bring it to a 2 point differential but Bunt had 1 more to get in there!!  Good 1st day displays by both teams!!  Put It In The Bunt wins 5-2.
