Unfortunately this one was all Dice. They started out the game with 5 or 6 in the top of the first inning Dice then tacked on two more runs in the top of the 4th and one in the top of the 5th. But after that the Untouchaballs were able to score their only run in the bottom of the 5th. Dice would answer again with one run in the 6th and nine runs in the 7th. Graham highlighted this last inning with a grand slam. Final was Dice 18 Untouchaballs 1.
Ballsagna vs. Kevin Bacon
Ballsagna's Derek Freeman put his team on the scoreboard in the top of the 1st inning when he blasted in two RBI's. Ballsagna would add one run in the 2nd, two runs in the 3rd, and one run with in the 4th. In the bottom of the 4th inning Ballsagna's pitcher Jarrod Sumpter showcased his razor-rocket arm and recorded all three outs. After his team scored two more runs in the top of the 5th inning, Jarrod Sumpter showed everyone in the 6th inning that he has a pretty stellar leg to go with that arm. He booted in 2 RBI's and powered his team to a total of 5 runs in the inning. The final score was Ballsagna 13, Kevin Bacon 0.
Hose Draggers vs. Shinobi Ninja Dragon
This was a close game for most of the game. I give most of that credit to the amazing pitching on the Ninja Dragons. I won't mention her by name but if the count was correct she knocked down 10 cones this week to push her season total to 23. I'm pretty sure she is on a record setting pace (keep up the good work!). Now for the other highlights. The Draggers got on the board first in the top of the 2nd with a Dwayne Keaton RBI triple. Ninja Dragon answered in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a 2-run HR by Nick Schnur. The score remained 2-1 until the top of the 5th inning. The Draggers were able to take the lead, 4-2, with a three run inning. In the bottom of the 5th inning, the Draggers got some fantastic defense when Camara Lischer bobbled the ball but right fielder Allisa Foxhall was there to snag the out. The Draggers took that momentum in to the top of the 6th inning and scored four runs. Three of those runs came off the boot of Lee Gullickson in the form of a 3-run HR. Ninja Dragon would plate one more run in the bottom of the 6th but that wouldn't be enough. Hose Draggers 8, Shinobi Ninja Dragon 3.
Star Spangled Hammered vs. Fresh Kicks of Ball Air
Fresh Kicks picked up where they left off last week by scoring four runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, one run in the 2nd and two more in the bottom of the 3rd. While all of this offense was going on Fresh Kicks was also playing some tight 'D'. Brandon would pitch a scoreless game until the top of the 7th inning. Kicks received a diving catch from Tony and Joe really stepped up his game this week by going full retard. "You went full retard, man. Never go full retard." -Kirk Lazarus (Tropic Thunder) That is the best advice I can give you going forward Joe. Star Spangled would break up Brandon's shut out when they scored two runs in the top of the 7th inning. Unfortunately it was a little late to get going. Fresh Kicks of Ball Air 10, Star Spangled Hammered 2.
Booze on First vs. Roshambo
Roshambo set the tone of the game in the top of the 1st inning when pitcher Steve Berglund recorded a strike out. Booze would play their own tough defense for the first two innings. It wasn't until the bottom of the 3rd inning when the game would have it's first run a cross the plate. It came when Roshambo's Kevin Clough pelted a RBI and then was able to make it all the way to 3rd himself. Roshambo would plate two other runs in the inning to make it 3-0. In the top of the 4th inning, Steve Berglund recorded his second strikeout and kept his team's shutout together. Roshambo would score two more runs in the bottom of the 5th inning and that would be all she wrote. Roshambo 5, Booze on First 0.
