Punani Patrol (Neon
Pink) VS. Put it in the Bunt (Neon Yellow):
Well folks we are in week 3 and
almost half way through the season and teams are starting to shape up and show
their true colors. For our 1st game of the night we had 2 veteran
teams in a head to head battle and it was a real close game. It was a close
game through the first inning and a half until Jeff Cornetet the Team Captain
of the Patrol came up to bat and blasted a 3 run Homer in the bottom of the
second to take the lead 6-2. In the top of the third the Patrol held Bunt
scoreless and when they came back up to bat Jeff did it again with a 2 run
triple to extend the lead 9-3. In the top of the 4th Bunt was able
to bring in another run and the Patrol matched them in the bottom of the inning
and made the score 10-3. It looked all but lost for the Bunt but they were able
to hold the Patrol to just 1 run in their last 3 at bats and in the top of the
6th Bunt made a valiant run at the Patrol by scoring another 5 runs
to come within 2, but ultimately, Bunt came up short and Punani was
victorious. Punani Patrol Wins 10-8.

Isotopes (Maroon) VS.
Kickin Uglies (Sapphire Blue):
Our second game of the night was 2 new teams
to our camp and they seem to be adjusting nicely. Both teams came out hot and
in the top of the first Team Captain for Isotopes started us off with a Homer
and then Greg Verzosa followed suite with a 3 run homer of his own to extend
the lead 5-0. In the bottom of the inning Kickin’s Team Captain Joe Wykowski
answered back with a RBI double and then team mate Cory Bassing followed suite
with a 2 RBI single to keep the game close. Top of 2 Isotopes scored another 2
runs and then held off Kickin in the bottom and ended the inning 7-3. In the
top of the 3rd the Isotopes once again extended their lead and this
time it was Colleen McGrath who had a SAC fly and Patrick Obryan who kicked a 2
run homer. In the top of the 4th Kickin held the Isotopes to just 1
run and it was from Cameron Cox who kicked a single but just kept running and
with 3 overthrows ran himself all the way home. The next runs came in the 6th
from Greg Verzosa again for Isotopes who had a 2 RBI double for the only scores
of the inning. With some amazing “D” the Isotopes held Kickin to the only 3
runs they had in the first and were just a little too much for the Kickin to
handle today. Isotopes Wins 19-3.

Step Parents (Royal
Blue) VS. No Rubber Lovers (Tropical Blue):
Our final game of the night was
a fun filled RBI game and a couple other run sprinkled in. The Parents started
us off with some nice action and it was Nathaniel Perkowski who struck first
with a 2 RBI double to left field. Tommy Welsh continued the scoring for the
Parents with a SAC fly RBI to right field. The scoring wasn’t done yet for the
Parents and Melisa McCullough was in the mix with a RBI single to finish out
the runs for the top of the first. The bottom of the 1st gave the
Lovers a chance to answer back and that’s just what they did when Tyler
Williams put their first on the board with a solo homer to center. In the 2nd
we went for more RBI and the first came from the Parent’s Sarah Satrom in the
top of the inning and the second came from the Rubber’s Stephen Knight in the
bottom of the inning. Nathaniel Perkowski was back at it again in the top of
the 3rd and who is “shocked” that it was another RBI in this game
actually it was a “2for” to be exact and would have been a 3 run homer if he
wasn’t thrown out at home at the last second. Top of the 4th can
anyone guess what happened, yep you got it another RBI and this one was Melissa
McCullough’s second of the night to extend their lead 9-2. We saw some more
fireworks from the Parents in the 6th and it started off with
something other than a RBI, it was a Grand Slam from none other than Mr. RBI
Nathaniel Perkowski. We would also like to give a shout out to Dominique Hubert
who has the fastest legs on the field and not only stole home in the top of the
inning but also had an amazing catch in the outfield running virtually the
whole out field to barely get there in time in the bottom of the inning. Coming
into the 7th the Lovers were down 14-2 and needed some magic to
happen to pull this off. First they held the Parent’s scoreless in the top of
the inning which was a good start and then in the bottom of the inning they
started the scoring run. The first run came from Trey Fisher who had RBI and
then Keith Vales had a 2 RBI single and things were looking hopeful. But the
Parents weren’t going to let them win and held the Lovers to just the 3 runs. Step Parents Wins 14-5.
