Hose Draggers (Red) vs. Booze on First (Cardinal Red): Welcome back to Sunday Funday after a
nice little 4th of July break, we hope you all had fun! For our
first game of the morning we had a very fun and high scoring game. Hose was up
first to bat and they started us off with the first scores of the game by
putting 2 on the board and one was from Derrick Keaton who had his first home
run of the game. Hose then shut down Booze in the bottom of the inning and came
back up in the top and scored again bringing their lead to 3-0. In the bottom
of the 2nd Booze brought home their first run and in the top of the
3rd Hose started to pull away. Derrick Keaton was back at it with a
2 RBI home run and that was only 3 of their 6 runs this inning. Hose held Booze
scoreless once again in the bottom of the inning and when they came back up in
the 4th they extended their lead by another 6. Josh Turner had 3 of
these 6 runs with a 2 RBI home run of his own to match Derrick. The scoring
ceased over the next couple of inning and was finally broke in the bottom of
the 6th when Booze made an amazing run at it when they brought 5
runs across the plate after holding off Hose in the top of the inning. The only
other run of the game came in the top of the 7th from hose but that
was all she wrote for this game. Hose
Draggers Wins 16-6.

Gone Rogue (Royal
Blue) vs. Fresh Kicks of Ball Air (Neon Orange):
For our second game of the
morning we had a very close and exciting game. Fresh shut down Rogue in the top
of the 1st inning and Fresh put the first on the board in the bottom
of the inning and it was Brad Calloway who did it with a RBI double. Once again
in the top of the 2nd Fresh held off Gone and in the bottom they
made a run and extended their lead. Brandon Frawley started the run with a SAC
fly RBI single and then Ryan Day had a 2 RBI double and these were 3 of 5 runs
they scored this inning. In the top of the 3rd Gone scored their
first runs and Kristen Suda had their first RBI of the game and Cutter Kane had
a 3 run Homer bringing the score to 6-4. In the bottom of the 3rd
Fresh extended their lead again and Brad Calloway helped out with another RBI
double. The next couple of innings went quiet and the defense turned it up, it
wasn’t until the top of the 5th when Ryan Leahey came up and kicked
a RBI for Gone did the scoreless streak stop. In the bottom of the inning Fresh
matched Gone with another run and Gone returned the favor in the top of the 6th
with a RBI from Cutter Kane. In the bottom of the 6th Brad Calloway
had another RBI and that was 1 of 2 runs in this inning from Fresh to extend
their lead even more. Coming into the 7th Gone was down 11-6 and
needed a miracle to pull this off and Ryan Leahey came back up and gave them
hope with a 2 run homer but that was all she wrote for this game. Fresh Kicks of Ball Air Wins 11-8.
