2 Legit 2
Quit (Navy) vs. Team America (Royal Blue): 2 Legit 2 Quit jumped out to a super legitimate lead
in the top of the 1st inning after a two-run homer by Jordan
“Cassius” Clay. But then Team America answered immediately in the bottom of the
1st inning after Jared “The Jumper” Peterson knocked in a RBI with
two outs, and followed it up with some fancy foot work on the base paths for a
score of his own. Now that Team America had the lead, it was time for Big Ben
Burnham to step up to the plate and KO some kickers. Burnham recorded eight
straight outs through three innings before finally letting on a base runner. By
then, the game was almost over, and Team America could breath easy! Team America wins 5-4.

Cheba Hut
(Forest Green) vs. Balls and Dolls (Violet):
After a
breakout game last week, Balls and Dolls continued to show amazing skills for
such a young squad! Mark Langford smashed a three-run homer, Morgan Jones
impressed everyone with a no-look-over-the-back toss to third base for an out,
and then Ian “The Beautiful Angel” Schroff nailed a home run for the cherry on
top. After the game, kickball analyst Wolf Blitzer had this to say: “The top
story for this season is the rise of Balls and Dolls—will they be able to
challenge the perennial contenders? Will they be able to refine their step up
to the plate, literally and figuratively? Only time will tell!” Balls and Dolls wins 22-1.

Flint
Tropics (Neon Yellow) vs. Oilers (Heliconia): In this rematch of the Spring 2017
championship game, tensions were high. Both teams offensive prowess was on
display with runs being scored every single inning of the game! Kevin “The
Galvanizer” Gallant from the Flint Tropics opened the floodgates with two RBIs
in the top of the 1st and an RBI in the top of the 2nd. Then
Garrett “Oh Captain, My Captain” Dean from the Oilers answered with a three run
homer in the bottom of the 1st. But the Oilers still had some
catching up to do, so Russ “Gunslinger” Ehlinger rose to the occasion and
knocked home an in-the-park grand slam in the bottom of the 2nd!
Finally, Sam “I am” LaRue from the Oilers made one last attempt to tie up the
game by scoring two runs in the final inning… But the Flint Tropics could not
be overtaken! Now we will just have to look forward to a playoff rematch! Flint
Tropics win 17-14.

Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (Ash
Grey) vs. Kickin Grass and Takin Names (Sapphire Blue): Little Lebowski Urban Achievers had some impressive
highlights from a few subs, but Kickin Grass and Takin Names had the play of
the game—Kyle Oldham had a loooooooooonnnnngggg throw from the outfield at home
to stop the runner from scoring! See the highlight here!
Oldham’s MVP performance would help secure another win for his team. Watch out
for Kickin Grass and Takin Names! Kickin
Grass and Takin Names win 11-3.

Ballz n Dollz (Neon Orange) vs. Florida Mike and the Free Ballers (Purple):
This
was just some good, old-fashioned, bump and grind kickball action! Nothing
fancy, just back to basics, down and gritty, tit-for-tat, kickball stratergizing.
Ballz n Dollz took an early lead 2-0 after the top of the 1st, but
Florida Mike and the Free Ballers, with their two game winning streak on the
line, would make things interesting by the 4th inning, with the
score still just 5-3 in favor of Ballz and Dollz. Jeremy Glanzer, captain of
Ballz n Dollz, commented after the game, “Florida Mike and the Free Ballers
really put up a fight in this one, but we are a really confident squad this
season. I think we can hang with anyone.” Ballz
n Dollz wins 5-3.
