Hammered would score first in this contest with one run in the bottom of the opening inning. The next two innings would be good defense by both teams and remain 1-0. Then in the bottom of the 4th inning Hammered was at it again. They wore down the Ninja D and scored four runs. Hammered would also score one more in the bottom of the 5th inning to extend their lead to 6-0. Finally in the top of the 7th inning, the Ninja offense finally woke up. They pelted some nice kicks and mustered two runs to end the shutout and make this one respectable. Star Spangled Hammered wins, 6-2.
After School Special vs. Booze on First
The Booze were definitely on first in this one, along with the other bases as well. They scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning. One of those runs was produced when Cayman Hood bombed a RBI triple. Booze would keep that offensive momentum going in the bottom of the 2nd inning and score two more runs. They would then get some stellar defense from first base woman Lauren Zoeller. She turned a sweet little double play to stop the Special's rally at one run. Booze would go one to score their final two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning off two back to back RBI blasts. Booze on First wins, 6-1.
Untouchaballs vs. Kevin Bacon
Untouchaballs started this show with a big boot from Brian Archibald. He belted a RBI triple in the top of the 1st inning. He would later score their second run of the inning to make it 2-0. Then in the top of the 3rd inning the Balls would score two more runs. One of which came off another triple from Archibald. The Balls would score their final two runs in the top of the 4th inning off a double by Eric Chapel. It wasn't until the bottom of the 5th inning that Bacon started scoring. In that inning they got their first run off a RBI bunt by Betsy Feigher. Then they would get their second run in the bottom of the 7th inning off a RBI blast by Molly Torrance. In the end it was too much Balls. Untouchaballs win, 6-2.
Round 2
After School Special vs. Untouchaballs
Balls picked up right where they left off the first game with two RBI's from Emily Googel in the bottom of the 1st inning. They would get two more runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning off a Matt Hardman two run HR. Balls finished off their scoring in the 4th inning with three runs. One of those runs was driven in off a big triple from Mike. A shot out has to go out to the Untouchaballs pitcher,Tim "Ewing" Gilchrest. Not only did he pitch a complete game shut out but he locked up a young lady with an engagement! Nicely done Mr. Ewing. Untouchaballs win 7-0.
Kevin Bacon vs. Shinobi Dragon Ninja
This was one of the closest games of the day. Both teams started out playing some excellent defense and as a result the first two innings were scoreless. Then in the top of the 3rd inning Bacon cracked the Ninja D and put up two runs. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Bacon's catcher Jillian Wohlfarth was responsible for two big outs and keeping the shut out intact. Bacon would keep the bottom of the 4th scoreless with two stellar outs from their pitcher Matt Urban. Finally, in the bottom of the 5th inning, the Ninjas got on the board. They got a HUGE three run home run from Nick Wolf which gave them the lead. Bacon would not go quietly into the night and mustered up three runs in the top of the 6th inning. Ninjas would try to match their offense but could only bring one run across the plate . That would be all the offense in this one. Kevin Bacon wins, 5-4.
Star Spangled Hammered vs. Booze on First
Booze scored first in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Their Mike Brown booted in an RBI to give his team a 1-0 lead. The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 4th inning when Cayman pelted a solo home run. Although Hammered couldn't find their offense on this day, they did bring some BIG D. The best was in the bottom of the 4th inning when Matt Remacle made a badass, beer-in-hand catch and from there it was all snooze and booze!! Booze on First wins 2-0.
Round 3
Dice vs. Ballsagna
Dice scored first in the top of the 1st inning. Ballsagna would answer that with a single run of their own in the bottom of the 2nd inning and prolly got hosed on a run with an amazing BLAST by Mat Peterson. After a scoreless 3rd inning from both teams, Dice's offense found their grove in the 4th. They scored two runs off of two solo home runs, one from Jon Graffam and the other from Daniel Linn. That got them going because they scored one run in the 5th, two in the 6th, and three in the 7th. While they did this they continued playing tight defense and kept Ballsagna off the board. Dice wins, 9-1.
Hose Draggers vs. Fresh Kicks of Ball Air
Probably the most exciting game of the day. The name of this game was defense, defense, defense!! There was so much defense that this game would go scoreless until the 7th inning. There were all sorts of great plays by both teams. In the bottom of the third inning Hose Draggers D was so big that they sent Fresh Kicks packing quickly with a one, two, three inning. Fresh Kicks was getting some kick ass pitching from Brandon, as usual. Then in the bottom of the 5th inning, Hose Draggers defense stepped up yet again. They were able to turn a double play that consisted of getting the second out at home to keep this one scoreless. Draggers Lee Gullickon was responsible for this play. Draggers finally got on the board in the top of the 7th inning to lead 1-0. Fresh would not be out down and got two runners on base. Then Tack Hundley went to the plate and booted an amazing double. Runs were scored and in the end it was Fresh Kicks winning, 2-1.
My Balls Just Dropped vs. Roshambo
In the bottom of the 1st inning Roshambo got the scoring started. They scored their first run from a RBI single by Lynn Clough. They would go on to score a total of three in the inning. Then in the bottom of the 2nd inning Roshambo scored again on a lady's RBI. They owe their ladies a lot of credit. Then in the top of the 3rd Dropped got a spark off a SAC fly from Joey Gaviola. But unfortunately for Dropped, Roshambo was just getting started, well actually Chris Cock'n'balls got started. He blasted a three run HR in the 4th and a two run double in the 5th. Roshambo wins, 13-3.
Dice vs. Roshambo
Dice would score two in the first inning, one of which was off a Jon Graffam SAC fly. Then they scored one in the 2nd inning. After that, they scored three in the 3rd. Two of those runs came off a Graham Palmer double. Finally, they scored four in the 5th inning. Three of those runs came off a three run double from John Anderson. In total they put up 10 runs before Roshambo could score their only run in the bottom of the 6th inning. And that would be all the scoring. Dice wins, 10-1.
Hose Draggers vs. Ballsagna
Draggers came out with their hoses up. Derek Keaton accounted for all three runs in the top of the 1st inning with a home run. Draggers would add another run in the top of the 2nd inning. Then in the bottom of the 2nd inning, Ballsagna got a RBI double from Nicole Shoemaker. Draggers would continue to make some big kicks and score one run in the 3rd inning. Ballsagna would counter with two runs in the 3rd from from Ashley Moore. Draggers would stall out for two innings until they scored their last two runs in the top of the 6th inning. Ballsagna did some work during those innings. Derek Freeman kicked a two run HR in the bottom of the 4th inning. Ballsagna would eventually tie the game in the bottom of the 7th inning. Ballsagna wins 8-7.
Fresh Kicks of Ball Air vs. My Balls Just Dropped
Fresh got the scoring started in the top of the 2nd inning with two innings. One of those runs was generated from a Brad Calloway home run. Fresh Kicks would blow this game wide open in the top of the 3rd inning with four more runs. Two of those runs was off a Tac Hundley two run home run. Dropped would try to get a comeback going but could only muster two runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. Fresh Kicks wins, 6-2.
