Denver - Wednesday Highlights - Week 2

Cuernavaca Park Field 1 (6pm)

Cause We Ball So Hard (Black) VS. Put It In The Bunt (Neon Orange):
Welcome back to Wednesday Night week 2 regular kickball!!  To start us off in the first inning both teams scored but the first was with the help of Andrew “This Guy” Brown who had a nice RBI single in the top of the first for Ball So Hard. PIITB responded when Mike Koenck was up and kicked himself a in the park Home Run to tie it up 1-1. PIITB held Ball So Hard off in the top of the second and when it was their turn to bat Abram Jewell took advantage and gave them the lead with a RBI single. Larissa Lindberg also contributed in the bottom of the second for PIITB with a sac fly to cap off a 4-run inning & take a commanding lead. In the bottom of the 3rd Ball So Hard held off PIITB with 3 great plays at 3rd base for all 3 outs to retire the side. In the final inning Abram Jewell was back at it again with a SAC fly to bring in their 6th run and put the last nail in the coffin.  The crowd chanted "MVP, MVP, MVP," for Abram! Put It In The Bunt Wins 6-1.
Cuernavaca Park Field 2 (6pm)

Punani Patrol (Neon Pink) VS. Dice (Purple):

Our second game was a high flying, high scoring shootout and was a lot of fun to watch. Both teams came out of the gate firing putting up 2 runs each. Patrol scored another 2 in the top of the second and held Dice to nada in the bottom of the inning. The tables turned in the 3rd when Dice held Punani to zilch in the top of the inning and scored 6 in the bottom bringing the score to 8-4 in favor of Dice. Unfortunately for Punani they were only able to score another 2 in the 4th and that was all she wrote for the Patrol as far as scoring went. Dice ran away with the game from there on out. In the bottom of the 5thAshley Feller from Dice kicked a booming 3-run homer and so did the man, the myth, the legend - Dan Linn to add to their lead! Dice Wins 15-6.

Cuernavaca Park Field 3 (6pm)

Pitches Be Cray (Ash Grey) VS. Step Parents (Royal Blue):

Our third and final game of the night was intense and a good way to end the night. In the first inning Step Parents held Pitches scoreless and when it was their turn they came out firing and scored 3 to start off the game. Step then scored another 3 runs in the 3rd and Eric Rector from Pitches had enough, he had a perfect double play from right field to first to end the inning and stop the bleeding. Unfortunately Pitches just could not get anyone across the plate and Jeremy Wagner from Step put the final score on the board for the game in the 5th with a Home Run. Then Jeremy made sure that was all she wrote by closing out the game with a double play from home to first in the top of the 7th...nice job Jeremy! Step Parents 7-0.
