Denver - Wednesday Highlights - Week 4

Dice (Purple) VS. Pitches Be Cray (Ash Grey):

Dice wins by forfeit.

Cuernavaca Park Field 2 (6pm)

Cause We Ball So Hard (Black) VS. Step Parents (Royal Blue):

Our second game of the night showed some amazing defensive skills. Both teams came out in the 1st inning and put something on the board with one a piece, but then the scoring really ceased and desisted. In the top of the 2nd So Hard went hard and had a nice double play to end the inning. Both teams went scoreless for the next 5 innings with some intense defensive skills. In the bottom of the 6th we had an amazing diving throw from the Parents for an out to end the inning. In the bottom of the 7th tied 1-1 Julius stepped up to bat with a player on second and received the perfect pitch which he slammed in for a double to bring the final and winning run of the game. Cause We Ball So Hard Wins 2-1.

Cuernavaca Park Field 3 (6pm)

Punani Patrol (Neon Pink) VS. Put It In The Bunt (Neon Orange): For our last game of the night we had a real shootout. Punani started off the game by slamming a 2 run Homer in the top of the first from Eric Mortensen. Then PIITB scored in the bottom of the inning to keep the game close. In the top of the second Tony Lusk from Punani had himself a nice Triple but PIITB was not going to let him get home and put the “D” on strong and got the third out to end the inning. Both teams scored another run in the 3rd and in the bottom of the 4th PIITB tied it up with a perfectly placed RBI from Adam Bacon. In the top of the 5th PIITB held Punani scoreless and when it was their turn to bat they put the heat on and brought 2 across the plate. It was the same story in the 6th and once again PIITB held Punani scoreless and when it was their turn to bat they put the heat on again and brought 2 more across the plate. Going into the 7th Punani was down by 4 and needed a miracle to win the game but Dan Martinez had other plans and got all 3 outs unassisted to end the inning and the game. Put It In The Bunt Wins 7-3.
